Classroom Management

Picture
From the information drawn from the Teaching Matters case study it has been highlighted that you are experiencing some difficulty in the area of general classroom management, specifically behaviour management. There has been no mention of the development of a detailed classroom management plan that is in use, therefore we have collated a range of information sources that will provide you with effective strategies to develop, maintain and implement a workable classroom management plan. The development of a classroom management plan will help to develop rules, routines, reward systems, physical classroom structures and effective behaviour management strategies (both preventative and consequential) that will help to create a learning environment that is safe, supportive and productive. It would also be useful for you to seek out and review the whole school policy in regard to behaviour management in order to implement consistent technique and strategies within the classroom (Arthur-Kelly, et. al., 2007; Marsh, 2010). Explore the drop tabs under this topic to begin your learning journey in this area.
